Helloooo!

Fadness Radness here. I’m a Seattle based visual artist and idea generator. I live in a triangle shaped apartment in a neighborhood that has rainbow crosswalks with my three favorite critters.

I’ve been drawing since I can remember, but I’d say my first masterpiece was a suit-clad mouse standing in front of a fruit bowl that I made when I was 3. From that day forward, art has been my internal compass. In art school, I loved exploring mediums outside of my core studies including drawing, book arts, printmaking, and video to inform my creative process while pursuing Painting as my major.

In the Arts community, I’ve participated in music events that include live painting/sketching portraits of musicians, solo/group shows, as well as creative cross pollinations between artists. My favorite subject matter are people, animals, and imaginary characters. Every art piece starts as a drawing in my head that evolves in my sketchbook until it is ready to become the final piece. My mediums of choice range from layered drawings/paintings that incorporate graphite/markers/liquid ink, paper inlay/printmaking, digital works in Procreate, and oil painting. I mostly let the idea behind a piece guide the outcome.

Lately, I’ve been creating allegorical portraits of artists, musicians, and other amazing humans that dance between tactile and digital realms. I start by printing Procreate sketches on paper and metal, then going back into them with mixed media techniques to bring each piece to life. Each portrait tells a story about the artist through imagery and materials.
